Also, I found that opening these little paper backed "pain relievers" was a happy past time for my toddler. And, might I add, totally worth the $2 price tag to keep her happy for a few extra minutes! (So the pain relief goes BOTH ways!)
My children can go through an entire pack of Band-Aids with one owie. They think of them as magic stickers. Somehow they end up on paper, walls, and carpet.

you they *don't* have healing properties!?!? character ones are way more potent than plain, beige ones.
I always put a bandage on, even on paper cuts. And then they always feel better.
